Project Objective: Thorough exploration of kitchen appliances, how individuals and families use them, those users relationship to the kitchen and to food we were able to design kitchen appliances for 1-5 years out and for 20-30 years out.

Project goals were twofold: to design kitchen appliances for the Indesit display at Eurococina; and to provide Indesit with insight into household trends and consumer behavior as they relate to food.


Cultural Research

Primary research to understand two target audience behaviors within six nations and four continents (Chili, USA, Spain, UK, Italy, South Korea).


Additional Research

Technology, consumer appliance trends, material trends.


Outcome

Currently six concepts were provided to Indesit as well as insights and design principals surrounding consumer kitchen appliances and user behaviors and needs. Project is ongoing with concepts undergoing prototyping and development.
